2020 the year that wasn't

Welcome to the first edition of our Sourcing Asia monthly blog Where do we start,  this year has been a roller coaster of a year with a massive start to the year for us business wise and then suddenly the brakes came on and the world  crashed  in March when Covid 19 came along. It’s been a very tough year for everybody in business but we are now seeing the effects of economy starting to wake up again and orders coming through. I realized early in the piece when COVID started this would be a 12 to 18 month global issue and being here in Bali we are a small island isolated luckily from a lot of the world we certainly have not escaped the COVID-19 virus nor have we escaped the economical side-effects that has been caused from this. What I did say was that I had to change how our business format was going to be from here on in. We need to become an online business and not a shopping tour business for teh next few years. I needed to bring Bali to the world in order for us to survive so the first thing I did was we spent the first four months of Covid creating an online catalogue of all the products that we have sold to our clients over the years, and then we also went out to suppliers and photographed their products so we could bring Bali to you, we are now proud to say that we have over 5000 products online with high-quality high resolution images Including product sizes all categorized and easy for you to find in a new online store
